FAIRHAVEN
SCHOOL-TO-WORK TRANSITION
C.I.T.E.
PROGRAMS
The Community Integrated
Training for Employment or C.I.T.E. Programs are
school-to-work training programs for Trumbull County students ages
14-22, who are eligible for MRDD services. The C.I.T.E.
Programs provide non-paid job skill training to students
who are in need of a supported work environment. The goals of
the programs are to enable students to participate in specific
vocational experiences to develop work skills, attitudes, and habits
necessary for paid community employment and to make informed choices
regarding future employment. The programs enhance the
student's opportunity to obtain gainful employment upon
graduation. Referrals for C.I.T.E. Programs are made
through the student's Work Study Coordinator from the Trumbull
County Educational Service Center to Jamie Bunker, Fairhaven
Transition Coordinator. Each program serves approximately 8-12 students.
