What is a Major Unusual Incident (MUI)?

An alleged, suspected, or actual occurrence of an incident where there is reason to believe the health or welfare of an individual may be adversely affected or an individual may be placed at a likely risk of harm.

An on call Service and Support Administrator or an on call Investigative Agent will immediately follow up on all MUIs reported.

Immediately upon identification or notification of a major unusual incident, Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities shall take all reasonable measures to ensure the health and welfare of at-risk individuals.
